Do you have a Rudolph?

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer was always a favorite of mine.  He was a “misfit” because of his red nose.  Can we learn from Rudolph? Well there is the obvious lesson – you should not be ashamed of who you are regardless of what others say.  That’s the one we learn as kids.

What does this mean to business?  Think of Rudolph as one of your employees. Do you have one who is a “misfit”? You have someone who is bright and talented but doesn’t seem to be performing well.  This would be your “misfit”, or they just haven’t found where they fit in.

I have seen average employees in one position turn into superstars in another position.  Find their strengths. Use their talent. They could lead your sleigh…I mean business in the future.
