My company is Focus HR, I provide project and fractional (outsourced) HR services to small businesses around the Chicagoland area. My clients are in various industries and have different needs. What they all have in common is they are small (less than 100 employees) and do not have an HR person on the team. We help our client/business owners “uncomplicate the people side of business”.
My company is growing and I need a consultant to work with clients. Client work is done from their location (on-site) as well as remotely. On-site client work is typically done between the hours of 9am and 2pm – the amount of time on-site varies.
Your responsibilities will vary according to the client. As a Consultant the HR support you provide can be in form of recruiting, new hire on-boarding, assisting with salaries and benefits, employee relations, performance reviews, policies & procedures, discipline to termination and strategy. You will be using all of your generalist skills. You decide when you can do the work as long as client expectations are met.

- Have at least 5 years of HR generalist experience
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Very organized
- Proficient in MS Office

This position starts as an independent contractor (1099).
